The 80th Anniversary Concert.
In 2009 we celebrated our 80th birthday with a Gala Concert, with the Snowdown Band, at the Tower Theatre in Folkestone. This proved to be a memorable occasion with a full house at the theatre.

The birthday cake was cut by our President, Gwyn Prosser MP and Linda Hammond - a grand-daughter of John Yorath who founded the choir - who was visiting this country from her home in Australia.

The photograph above, taken during the concert, shows Michael Lewis conducting band and choir in his own arrangement of the Spiritual 'Where shall I be'.
Chillenden Church on a wet and windy night. An audience of about 50 filled the church to overflowing. During the interval, there was nowhere for the choir to go, so we just stayed where we were.
St Mary's, Sandwich, now redundant and converted into an arts centre, where an audience of about 150 was dwarfed by the building.
The garden of The Haywain at Bramling on a glorious summer's afternoon. This event raised over £600 for The Kent Air Ambulance.

A Memorable Concert In 2010.
May. This was the return visit of our friends, The Mabelvoy Choral, from the Savoie region of France and was a joint venture with the Manwood Singers from Sandwich. The French group spent three days in Kent and sang a concert with Manwood at St. Mary's Church, Sandwich on May 7th, and a concert with us on the 8th. before getting on their coach and travelling through the night back to their base in Moutiers. The venue for our concert was The Swedish Hall in Beech Grove Nonington, kindly lent to us by our very good friends in The Beech Grove Community.
